We have been asked by the land owner of the NE-SW runway to take the quad bike around by road or use boards to get it across the ditch which has recently been maintained by digging out.

STC's

Posted by Paul L STC, W on April 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM

Well done to Darren completing the first part of his STC rating.  For those of you not aware this entails giving up 2 days of your life and work/holiday  to go and sit in a classroom and worst of all its up north.  Mike Lake, Steve Biggs and Darren are now ready for their second part an examination that will take place this Summer.  Richard Hunts rating should only be a formality getting them re instated.

New Competition Officer

Posted by Paul L STC, W on March 11, 2016 at 4:35 AM

Well done Steve Blackler who has volunteered to take over the comps for our club so please make his job easy by sending your co ords as soon as you can. Remember you need to make an email claim and not think the text, telegram live track or any other on the day after flight message is a claim as they are often sent from in the pub or pick up point and not your landing. Please send all claims to him on [email protected]

Hello All

At our last meeting the subject of glider storage / lack of space came up again so we have come up with a solution.

On the 7th of November (or date to suit all) after the main flying season is over we would like as many of you to volunteer to meet us at the hangar to sort the gliders into 3 categories

1 Gliders with tags on that will be going into new glider tubes (Keith sorting out) Tubes will be owned and paid for by the ...

Fun Competition Results

Posted by Paul L STC, W on August 4, 2015 at 10:50 AM

We had a great weekends flying with the weather playing ball for a change and for those who could get out at short noticed made the best of it.  Saturday we had 4XCs and quite a lot of extended flights and good height gains by the rest.  Sunday started good but deteriated a bit by the time we started with the early flights getting the best of it.  With only 5k seperating the top 3 pilots it was a close thing but the suprise winner is Richard Hunt.  I dont mean suprised on ...
