Flying member requirements.

A minimum of BHPA Club Pilot certificate (CP)

Tow Launching Environment endorsement. 

or Hill Environment Endorsement + 10 Flying hours and we can convert you to Tow Launching. 

Hill endorsement with less than 10 hours can Fly our coastal sites.

Current BHPA membership 

Suitable wheels MUST BE FITTED for all tow launching.

Fees.

A membership fee of £36 per year is applicable to become a flying member. Payment details are on the membership application form . Payment is by BACS only. The membership fee is due on the 1st May of each year. Joining part way through a year is charged pro-rata. After your account is setup you will recieve approximately quarterly statements emailed  to confirm your tow balance. All payments are made online direct to the clubs account.

We also offer hangar space in our glider rack for £24 per year, this can  be added to your statement and paid along with your membership and tow fees. The only thing we ask is that you run your account in credit

Visiting pilots

A day rate of £10 plus tow fees are required to be paid by all visiting pilots. This contribution helps the Suffolk coastal floaters maintain all of our flying sites and the winch operation equipment and training.
